Spinach Florentine - Risotto

 

In the culinary world, Florentine refers to a recipe that is prepared in the style of the Italian region of Florence, usually featuring spinach. In our Spinach Florentine Risotto, we’ve blended creamy Arborio rice with spinach, tarragon, parsley, garlic, onion, bell pepper, chiles and salt for a savory, ready-to-cook risotto which is delicious on its own or wonderful as a side.

Basic Prep

Heat 1 quart water or chicken stock to simmer and reserve. Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil in large saucepan over medium heat. Add 1 cup Spinach Florentine Risotto and stir quickly until rice is well coated and opaque, about 2 minutes. Add 1 cup warm liquid to rice. Cook, stirring, until rice has absorbed liquid. Add remaining liquid 1 cup at a time, cooking and stirring until rice absorbs all the liquid after each addition and rice is tender but firm.

 

Suggested Uses

  • Serve as savory side instead of stuffing
  • Add healthy serving of steamed vegetables for hearty vegetarian meal

    UPS reserves the right to inspect damaged goods prior to approving claims. Please hold damaged goods for at least 3-5 days after reporting to Nature’s Mills (The KEELEN COMPANY).

    LTL Freight Shipments

    Please inspect your LTL shipments upon receipt. Any missing or damaged product must be listed on the BOL before signing with the driver. This must be reported to Nature’s Mills (The KEELEN COMPANY) immediately but no later than 3 days after receiving merchandise; otherwise credit / replacement will not be given.

    Rice Shelf life

    Our rice products have a 24-months shelf life. We do not recommend selling or eating product beyond the products' best-buy date (shelf life) for sell or consumption. It may not make you sick. It may be stale and lack freshness.
