Our Organic Champignon Powder is made from 100% pure finely ground dried champignon mushrooms. This fine, cream-colored powder captures the mild, earthy flavor of the champignon.

Suggested Uses

  • Add to gravy, sauces, cream soups or stews to increase mushroom flavor
  • Use in dry rubs for meats, poultry or fish
  • Add to the dry mix for fresh pasta dough
  • Combine with garlic powder and sea salt to make a delicious seasoning mix for popcorn or homemade potato chips

 

Description

  • Our Champignon Mushroom Extract Powder is made from the pressed juice of champignon mushrooms. The juice is minimally processed to create a superfine mushroom extract granule that dissolves easily in liquids and provides a punch of umami flavor.

  • It’s a natural, no-sugar-added, flavor-enhancing food additive that can be used in the place of extra salt, MSG, yeast extract and hydrolyzed vegetable protein.

  • Champignon mushrooms (Agaricus bisporus), also called “white button” mushrooms, are the mushrooms most commonly eaten by U.S. consumers. 

  • Typically, champignon mushrooms are harvested when they are about 1 to 2 inches tall and roughly 1-inch wide.

  • It is interesting to note that when certain brown-toned varieties of champignon mushrooms are allowed to grow slightly larger (2 to 3 inches tall), they are sold as “crimini” mushrooms.

  • When allowed to grow beyond that (sometimes 4-1/2 inches wide or even larger), they’re called “portabella” mushrooms. 

  • Fresh champignon mushrooms’ mild flavor and firm, meaty texture have broad appeal and lend themselves well to many different applications.

  • They are frequently used raw in salads, added as a topping to pizza, tossed into stir-fries or cooked in sauces for everything from pasta to roasted meat.

    All UPS Order shipments of Nature’s Mills products must be informed of any and all product damages and/or shortages within 3 days of receiving product to receive credit. Please take photos of all damage as reported.

    UPS reserves the right to inspect damaged goods prior to approving claims. Please hold damaged goods for at least 3-5 days after reporting to Nature’s Mills (The KEELEN COMPANY).

    LTL Freight Shipments

    Please inspect your LTL shipments upon receipt. Any missing or damaged product must be listed on the BOL before signing with the driver. This must be reported to Nature’s Mills (The KEELEN COMPANY) immediately but no later than 3 days after receiving merchandise; otherwise credit / replacement will not be given.

    Seasoning, Spice & Rub Shelf life

    Our seasoning has a 2-3year shelf life. While out of date seasoning won’t make you sick, we do not recommend selling or using it beyound the products' best buy date (shelf life). It will be stale and lack freshness.
